Every dog is special. But it’s not just their personality. Every dog has unique nutrition needs based on their breed, size, shape, activity level and many other factors. The best way to help your dog be the best version of themselves is to build a healthy, balanced bowl that’s a combination of grains, vegetables, proteins, hydrators and supplements that are specific to your pet.
When you build a bowl here at Volhard, you will start with the choice of foundation mix. For better planning, it’s helpful to think about the dog you plan to feed and their issues first. This is where you can determine the "personality" of your bowl.

Feeding Guidelines Are Per Day
Directions
1. PUT NDF2 INTO A DOG BOWL
2. ADD PROTEIN AND WATER
3. MIX AND SERVE
DAYS 1-5 : NDF2, raw or lightly cooked meat (80/20 beef recommended), and water
DAY 6 : Use an alternative protein source such as mackerel, salmon, greek yogurt, cottage cheese or sardines in water
DAY 7 : Half day fast : Rest from food to cleanse the digestive system. Puppies and senior dogs should not be fasted
Puppy Feeding Guidelines

NDF2 can be stored unopened in a cool dry place for up to 1 year. After opening,
NDF2 must be stored in the fridge or freezer and is good for 6 months after opening.
The Transition
Add a small amount of NDF2 and protein to the current diet you are feeding your dog now and mix with water. As the week progresses, gradually increase the amount of NDF2, protein, and water, at the same decreasing the current diet by a corresponding amount, until you have phased out the current diet. (If you are feeding the same protein for six days, you may want to feed another protein - canned mackerel or cottage cheese - on the seventh day.) At the end of the transition period, weigh your dog. Weigh them again after four weeks. Increase or decrease the amount you feed accordingly.
Recommended Protein: 80/20 beef.

My dog, Millie loves this food. She is more energetic and her coat is so soft and shiny since she has started eating it. I would highly recommend the Natural diet foundation 2. It is a dog food I can feel good about feeding my dog.

Best choice ever for picky eaters!
My dogs eventually snub all food after a few meals, even homemade food. This is the first dog food they don't snub, they have been eating for nearly a month and cannot wait to eat every meal. So glad to have found this! Bonus, it smells great sort of like surfing mix!

We have a Cavalier King Charles, at our last vet visit the vet said she is probably one of the healthiest cavaliers she has ever seen. She ask what are we feeding her which I replied Volhard NDF2, plus I make her pumpkin treats. She said keep it up her heart, ears, eyes and coat are all in excellent condition. I have to say NDF2 has made a difference in her health. We will not feed our sweet fur baby anything else.

This is the best food I have found for my dog. She is just a country dog and a rescue but she deserves to have good food. She is thriving on it. Her coat is so soft and shiny. No gas or passing gas from this food. She loves the taste of this food and can't wait to eat it. I do believe it has helped with her temperament also. I highly recommend this food to my friends and family.

Volhard food
Seems to be quite a success! My dog loves it! Bodie is a 95 lb yellow English lab and the best dog we have ever had! I want the best for him. He is 5 yrs old. I will say after about a week and a few days I noticed an unbelievable difference in Bodie's coat! It went from coarse, to soft almost silk-like!!!
